Unfortunately, this was the worst experience in a hotel ever. The check-in is at 3pm and not at 2pm as displayed on Agoda’s website, and the receptionist didn’t even tried to make amends. Then, after waiting another hour and missing our plans, at 3pm, they didn’t had two of our rooms ready (we booked 3 rooms), so we were 6 people inside of 1 single room.
The room and specially the mattress smelled like smoke and cigarettes, but not in a subtle way you can just bare with, we literally had to spray deodorant to be able to sleep. You can hear every single noise from the other units and stairs. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work, so we had to use roaming during our stay.
The cherry on top was trying to go out during the night and NOBODY was at the reception and the entrance door was closed. We rang the reception bell and wait for a long time and nobody opened the doors for us, so we couldn’t get out of the hotel (???).
I don’t expect people to speak English everywhere, but just know that nobody speaks a word in English (which is totally fine), but thought it could be important to give a heads up, if you don’t speak French, as communication can be really hard, specially trying to solve those kinda of problems.
Stay away from this hotel!

Asked for top floor room so I could have a rooftop view and it was clean and quiet. Great shower. Slept well. I knew there was a spiral staircase to climb when I requested top floor but even after the Paris marathon it was worth it. Owners / staff friendly. Location perfect near bus and metro stops. Brilliant value.

Not the photos depicted in the listing. Raw sewage smell coming from the bathroom the entire stay. They tried to cover it by shoving a cloth in the upper drain of the sink. Broken table lamp. The radiator was leaking and had a plastic bottle on the floor with rag under to catch dripping. Dingy and poor lighting. Loud, so bring earplugs. Sounds like other guests are in the room with you. Dirty stained pillows with open cases so that every guest is allowed to come in contact. The real let down though is that I accidently left a new bag of clothes with tags and receipt in the room, contacted the owner the same day. "Our cleaner found it, but I threw it out." I understand that lost property is not necessarily your problem but to not even try to write to me about it or hold for a day? It was over €100, two new dresses. I run a hospitality business and this seems really poor customer service. He knew which room I was staying in and had been messaging me previously. I had planned to take more pictures but unfortunately woke up late for my train, also why I accidently left my shopping bag. Just take my word for it, pay €10 more and stay somewhere better. Unacceptable practices, even for Paris were accommodation standards can be low.

Very nice hotel, if basic. The room was clean and had everything one needs, and the bathroom was new and fresh. We had a tiny balcony, perfect for enjoying a late night (or early morning) people watching. The building is old and quirky but typically Parisian. The reception staff were friendly old men. No issues at all. There is no restaurant here, and no breakfast option. A very pleasant hotel right in the heart of Pigale, good value - recommended.
