Herdade da Urgueira

The Herdade Urgueira is located in the town of Perais, Vila Velha de Rodão municipality . Its 620 hectares of extension are flanked by seats the Vale de Pousadas and Perais. Situated in one of the areas of excellence of international olive growing - to prove the various awards received - the Herdade Urgueira is a reference in central Portugal. Offering excellent access via the A23, IP2, IC8 and railway line of Beira Baixa is not difficult for visitors to get to Vila Velha de Rodão. The city of Lisbon is less than two hours drive away and Porto just over two hours. According to tradition that insists on passing from generation to generation, it was at this location, along the Tagus River, which gathered the ministers who came from the northern cold lands with cattle, towards the Alentejo region, where pastures were abundant; it turns out that it was common for pasture.
