The family has had a long association with Bedarra since 1984, most recently renewed with their acquisition and renovation of Bedarra Island Resort in late 2011 after the devastation of Cyclone Yasi. Managing Director Sam Charlton is particularly passionate about Bedarra having spent part of his childhood living an idyllic Swiss Family Robinson style existence on the island in the mid 1980’s. With memories of his childhood, Sam, in conjunction with his wife Kerri-Ann, has passionately striven to create the perfect tropical island escape; luxurious but not pretentious, laid-back but still attentive.
